Croma "Saypha"

Beauty Promo Film I shot without any limitations and requirements from the client: „just make it look cool and use this model“. Because the product I shot this for mainly consists of water, I chose to shoot the model mainly in the water. The whole thing turned out to be like a big photoshoot with rolling cameras. Fun times!

One of my favorite beauty shoots with the incredible Ada for Croma. We shot most of this in a rather large public indoor pool which was closed due to maintanance on our shooting day. Shoots like this prove that everything looks amazing with some smoke/haze and anamorphics. Even things that already look amazing look even more amazing 😂 🎥 ❤️

Main challenge from a DP perspective was to get nice contrast in while hiding all things that reveal the public swimming pool. I went with a large black cloth i submerged in the water to get some negative fill from below. For the background we built a big wooden board with white waterproof painiting. So we basically built a studio in the water.

In addition to the beauty shots I took with the model, we also shot some cinematic footage of the production line. I was super happy that the client let me shoot it a bit moody and contrasty because most of the time when you shoot industrial stuff as a DP you are forced to make "everything bright and nice". 🤮 But not this time!
